![]() ![]() In addition to that, there are things reported through bug reports that never get fixed/worked on apparently, ranging from obvious long-standing graphic bugs, like glowing frill at nights to these harsh water edges. ![]() Sounds to me like this was a problem of a statistical corporate trap where an employee is merely a slave to stats he gotta follow up on but no common sense applied/allowed. Isn't it better to prioritize with common sense sometimes too? Not just go with "the most reported" "numbers" "stats" and "clicks"? I dunno, just my thoughts on the matter. Why would you thoughtlessly "fix" something (make it more blue) - that a lot of people were screaming about in bug reports - in a way that it looks ugly and globally less diverse than water environment that we had before, thus resulting in worse variety in the game world or making some swamps in the game-world outright blue like an ocean? And the guy doing the fixing either did not even notice or just ignored that because "well yeah, that's apparently what our players want, so let's make this super blue water and apply globally." Screams a bit like a waste of your time. This is somehow of a concern that was raised with this blue water dilemma. Making water feel even more immersive through some effects/wind and less of the "always a perfect mirror" may be a great idea to capitalize on the world's immersive environment even more ( but not blue, unless it's a special type of water in specific biome). Streamline & describe the starting options better and make SoA/Mossward experiences of certain races (past and future) equal, it's only fair and makes perfect sense with new players who know next to nothing about the game. Starting options are a great thing but a bit messy. Screenshotting is very clunky in some of these impressive spots, sometimes just 2x my height would have been enough of a boost to capture something truly nice! Tethered camera mode or literally ANY other way to allow players to position themselves a bit higher above ground and get better screenshot angles of some places. I remember Sev said they can't feasibly have zoom-in on maps, sure, ok, but do the scrollable maps at least, either as main maps or as additional map view that we can enjoy with a working quest tracker on it. Map revamp considered as part of high res UI revamp and this large in-game world actually being shown to players in less confusing ways, without the need for plugins. I know it is probably more demanding to allow a player to choose their own music, that's why I suggested a creation of a well-suited, more thoughtful main theme music and it could also provide the game with one such theme after all these years. May seem like a trivial thing, but I would not dismiss it entirely, it raises a legit concern: how does the music fit with the whole of the game or character creation, not just a particular expac content. Many people mentioned they have a serious issue with it currently. Choice of your own music or the main menu music that we can enjoy between expansions. INTERACTING WITH THE WORLD & FIRST TIME CONTACT WITH THE GAME: Let's focus on what's been mentioned here in 2022 that could actually be a game-changer for the game in what its appeal may be years into the future, shall we? From things that aren't as obvious and rarely pointed out here (though may be more present throughout reddit, I believe). I'm not going to say lag, UI overhaul, graphics, textures, and all these super obvious general things, nor the usual stuff like tokens, grind, rewards, deeds, instances and so on, which are the daily controversial subject of MMOs. ![]()
